Pole Dancing Squirrels and an Unlit Brain (Wordles and Dreams)

Above is the two-day, two-page spread and below are the individual pages with the stories in this continuing series of daily journaling of the day’s Wordle and my wacky dreams.

Wordle: UNLIT and DANCE; Dreams: Beach Scenes and a Mask/Cape Combo

Above is the two-day, two-page spread; keep reading to see the individual pages with the stories below in this continuing journal series of the day’s Wordle and my wacky dreams.

Wordle: UNLIT and Dreams of the Beach

For Wordle: UNLIT (above) I drew the unlit lightbulb over my uninspired brain that day. My dreams, with fleeting scenes at the beach, seemed pleasant at first but were actually kinda icky. I only drew the first two.

  1. I’m in the ocean and realize the tide is out and I’m going to have to walk back over miles of rocks.
  2. Walking on the beach there are mysterious native ritual shacks and a grave being dug.
Wordle: DANCE (Pole Dance); Dream: invention of a mask//hat cape combo

For Wordle: DANCE I thought about drawing the dance my dog does trying to jump up a tree to catch a squirrel teasing her, but I also thought about pole dancing so I combined the two and drew a POLE dancing squirrel.

My dreams were nuts.

  1. First I dreamt I invented a combination face mask and cape with a hat attached. But I was having a good hair day and didn’t want to ruin it with a mask and hat, even though it was quite lovely in purple.
  2. There’s a cute baby in the office and a co-worker challenges me to a race down the hall.
  3. My (not IRL) roommate with an Indian accent has reprogrammed my Alexa with his own voice and now she says, “I don’t know how to do that” when I ask her something.
